print II

In the second session we had a go at some Mono-Printing. Here are a few prints...







I enjoyed it much more than the Drypoint because I found it easier and I was more satisfied with the prints that came out. I also went with the theme of raising awareness of homeless people in Leeds and how you can help, which is what I am doing right now with the designing for an audience brief on my course. This will be more refined from now with the rest of my prints for the elective as I know 100% what I am doing for it now.

This Wednesday we are doing a bit of Lino-Printing. I have only done this once before in college (about 3 years ago) and I enjoyed it very much, so I am eager to have another go. Heres the print I made for college...

Was planning to try print some of the tees for Spectrals with all this time off that I had but I've been a bit busy lazy and not got round to it...I changed the design a bit...





Will have to get on it when I have some more time off!

I started my print elective on the 3rd of this month. I am really looking forward to getting into it all. I have had two sessions so far and I am really enjoying it. The first thing we did was Drypoint printing and here is one of the prints that I made...





This is the plate I used to make the prints, I didn't have enough time to print anything once I used the soldering iron. I might go in some time after uni soon.

Wrote a new song the other day with my band Walden. We decided to experiment with projecting our beautiful singing voices. I think we ended up writing a song about Fifa '04. Will said we shouldn't write down our lyrics, but to just keep them in our heads. He said they would mean more to us that way.



We should hopefully be getting around to doing a bit of recording soon as our friends at Tye Die Tapes are wanting to release a tape for us :D
